The hotel has a great location, just a block from Ipanema Beach and close to many restaurants. the breakfast is delicious and has a good variety of options. the rooftop pool provides a nice view of the city.

The soundproofing could be better, and the rooms can be noisy.

beds were nice and the breakfast was superb. one of our favorite spots fort copacabana was close to this place. perfect location, easy to get anywhere.

Staff were sometimes rude. Logistics (E.G. for breakfast buffet) poor, having to ask for refills etc. Despite booking a "Deluxe" room, ropes were apparently only available for higher categories... Rooms could do with upgrade, especially bathrooms need refurbishment.

Polite and helpful staff, fantastic recommendations, close proximity to beach, beach service with free chairs, towels.

Nothing that I didn't like.

Great Location and Amazing Views This hotel was perfectly situated for my city break , just a stone's throw away from the beach. I loved that the hotel provided its own beach towel and sunbed area, making it hassle, free to relax on the sand. I couldn't get enough of the amazing views from my room , I had an unbeatable view of both the ocean and the surrounding city. It was the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day of exploring.

The hotel is splendidly located, one block back from Ipanema Beach. The rooms are comfortable rather than luxurious. The (included) breakfast was truly excellent - whatever your culinary desires. We had need to both modify our booking and seek advice on a range of disparate topics. These were handled fully and curtesly by the front office staff - Roberta and Nathalia, in particular were bombarded with queries - which bus to catch to the Botanical Gardens or recommendatiob for an Italian restaurant - which never seemed too phase them. But even the staff with little or no command of English were always keen to help.

With the room windows open, the street sounds could be a little intrusive on a Friday and Saturday night - but isn't that one of the reasons you stay in Ipanema on the first place.

Very well located, just 50 meters away from Ipanema beach. The staff was quite fiendly and helpful. Breakfast had great quality, although it was not so varied. Glorious bar at the roof pool, with awesome views of the beach, lagoa and mountains around Rio. We enjoyed very much our stay in the Hotel.

Nowhere was informed Ipanema Superior Double Room had no chance of Twin Beds. It's not worth to pay the price difference for this special 16th floor. The rest of the rooms are really good also.

Great view of the beach, friendly staff, supply of beach chairs and umbrellas. Location is ideal, with plenty of dining options and shops nearby.

Good, clean rooms however had a couple of problems with electric tripping when using hairdryer and tv losing signal. Both were dealt with quickly though.

I had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel. The location couldn't be better - just up from the beach in a nice safe area. It's the perfect spot for families looking to explore the city. The service here is top-notch, with friendly staff who go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. I was particularly impressed with the blonde receptionist who was fluent in English and was always willing to help with any reservations or arrangements. The hotel amenities were also excellent, including a lovely sauna and outdoor swimming pool. And don't even get me started on the delicious buffet breakfast - it was the perfect way to start my day.

I would highly recommend this hotel to families.

I have stayed twice (total of 4 nights) in this hotel during my Brazil holiday. Both stays have been fantastic. Location of hotel, both for discovering Rio and enjoying the beach, is great. Bars, shopping etc. around the corner. Compared to other inner Rio hotels Ipanema Plaza is a tidy, recently refurbished place to stay. Helpful, friendly staff and good restaurant. Would definitely go their again!!!

The staff and the location was perfect I had a minor problem and the manager was very willing to accept a decision that was very acceptable to me and helped me enjoy my stay even more, considering he did not have to anything. His concern of wanting me to have no problems will make me a return customer. The restaurant, the roof top pool and the location all make this hotel part of a great Rio travel experience.

Not really a complaint there is a slight smell of mustiness at time when th central air conditioner is on The public rooms are fine. I realise that it is humid in Rio but this can detract from an otherwise outstanding hotel
